Colony Theater

Project Overview

Comprehensive structural engineering services for the renovation and restoration of the iconic Colony Theater, originally built in 1934 for Paramount Pictures. This historic project seamlessly blended modern upgrades with the preservation of the building’s architectural legacy.

The scope included the addition of a state-of-the-art performance theater stage house, complete with a new stage, storage facilities, dressing rooms, office spaces, and essential support areas. Significant repairs, renovations, and historically sensitive restorations were undertaken to revitalize the theater’s original front facade, restore the grandeur of the lobby, and enhance various key areas throughout the venue.

By carefully balancing structural updates with historic preservation, this project ensured the Colony Theater’s continued service as a vibrant cultural landmark while honoring its storied past.
