Oxford Mills

Project Overview

O’Donnell & Naccarato provided structural engineering services to convert the 19th century, South Kensington neighborhood textile mill into affordable “workforce
housing” for teachers, especially those working in programs like Teach for America. The Oxford Mills complex is comprised of several historic brick and heavy exposed timber-framed buildings on various floor levels totaling 150,000 SF. The converted facility includes 114 apartment units, low rent office space, project partner Teach for America’s regional headquarters and amenities such as printing suites, a public café and outdoor courtyards with fire pits and communal seating.
