Project Overview

O’Donnell & Naccarato provided both structural engineering and facade restoration services to turn the historic former home of the Philadelphia Inquirer, constructed in 1924, into an Essential Services Facility for the City of Philadelphia. The 520,000 SF building, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, houses the new headquarters of the Philadelphia Police Dept., Philadelphia Homicide Unit, Police & Fire Communication Center, and the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Morgue, 911/411 Centers, and the Department of Health Laboratory Services.
