Project Overview
Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School is a college preparatory, Catholic school for students of all faiths which offers an innovative work-study model where each student works at a company in the Greater Philadelphia Area one day per week. This 5-acre high school campus project included the renovation and adaptive reuse of the historic A. Mecky Tricycle Factory, a 5-story, 55,000 SF heavy timber and masonry warehouse building. A new, 48,000 SF steel-framed addition rounds out the campus. The addition houses school program spaces, administrative offices, and a gymnasium/ health center, while outside, the campus features a new turf soccer field, parking, and outdoor instructional and gathering spaces.
