Project Overview
Courtyard Marriot was the first hotel constructed at the historic Navy Yard on the Delaware River in South Philadelphia. O’Donnell & Naccarato provided structural engineering design services for the 5-story, 100,000 SF, 172-room hotel. The structure, consisting of precast concrete hollow core plank and metal stud bearing walls, features 4 stories of hotel space over a single-story of amenity space with enhanced ground
floor dining and a bar/lounge facility. The LEED-Certified hotel employs a facade system that animates the building, offering varying layers of color and shadow effects throughout the day.
